I was doing some research the other day on macrame and i came across this amazing photoshoot featuring the designs of Jana Mikasova.

Macrame doesnt have the best reputation but this photoshoot looks fantastic and really brings the craft up to date. I learnt to macrame at a short course at the royal college of art and have loved it ever since. Its a great way to bring a new texture into a garment or for accessories.

The basic techniques are easy to use and its a great way to experiment with new materials. Try it yourself.
